Nordic Ski Team
The Nordic Ski Team is an inclusive club sport that welcomes anyone interested in cross-country skiing, from first-timers to lifelong skiers looking for training partners.
The team emphasizes fun, low-pressure participation while still supporting athletes who want to challenge themselves in training and racing. Members find a supportive community, enjoy winter adventures together, and take advantage of regional skiing opportunities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Nordic Ski Competition Details
The team typically practices two to three times per week with flexible expectations around attendance so students can balance academics, outdoor adventures, and other commitments.
Each Thanksgiving break, the team travels to West Yellowstone for a training camp where transportation, lodging, food, and wax support are provided, allowing skiers to focus on snow time and team bonding.
Most races are community events such as the Spokane Loppet (Spokane, WA), the Boulder Mountain Tour (Sun Valley, ID), Ski to the Sun Marathon and Relay (Winthrop, WA), and the Kongsberger Stampede (Cabin Creek, WA).
