Club Sports at Whitman are student-led teams that compete against other colleges and universities. They offer a high level of competition and often involve regular practices, coaching, and travel for games and tournaments. Hit the slopes with fellow Whitties on the Alpine and Nordic Ski Teams, two student-run clubs that train and compete across the Northwest. Whether you love fast, technical skiing or the challenge of a cross-country trail, you’ll find coaching, camaraderie and plenty of days on snow—all while balancing academics and life in Walla Walla.

Linked for Life: How Three Whitman Students Saved a Beloved Professor

When Professor Emeritus Pat Keef collapsed at Whitman College fitness center, three students sprang into action. Their quick response and CPR training saved his life. Now, they are advocating for accessible medical training on campus to ensure that others are ready to respond when every second matters.

With a decisive win over George Fox this weekend, the Blues punched their ticket to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament. The team will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the first round on Friday, March 6.

Mission Statement

We believe that students benefit from an opportunity to partake in intercollegiate athletics at the club level and we recognize that athletics can be an integral part of the overall experience of ³Ô¹ÏÍø. We strive to provide a positive environment that allows students to compete at the club level collegiately while maintaining a commitment to academic excellence. Club Sports are student initiated and primarily student run to enhance the learning and leadership experience for participants.
