Sophomores attend an Study Abroad First Steps Meeting at the end of their first year.
Schedule an appointment with a Study Abroad Advisor
Email offcampusstudies@whitman.edu.
Complete the Study Abroad Advising Form
before your advising appointment.
Discuss your study abroad plans with your Major Advisor.
Refer to the “Planning Tips” section on the Advising by Major page for your major to plan your course selection.

It is a great way to connect with nearly all of Whitman’s partner study abroad programs in a short period of time.
Finalize your program choice with your Study Abroad Advisor.
Schedule a second advising appointment with your Study Abroad Advisor to finalize your program choice and select your study abroad courses.
Meet with your Major Advisor.
Your Major Advisor must sign off on your Study Abroad Course Approval Form and approve any study abroad courses you are taking for major credit. You will upload the Study Abroad Course Approval Form to your Study Abroad Application in myOCS.
Complete your Whitman Study Abroad Application in MyOCS.
Complete your study abroad program application
Apply directly to your study abroad program for admission at the same time you are applying to Whitman’s study abroad program.
