Whitman’s Home Ownership Benefit
Whitman’s Home Ownership Benefit (WHOB) partners with Landed, a down payment program that invests alongside employees in education to help them reach up to a 40% down payment. Funds, up to $276,000 per household, come in the form of an equity investment, meaning that homebuyers share in a portion of the gain (or loss, if any) of the value of the home once the partnership is ended—typically by sale or refinance.
The WHOB also offers free homebuying services to educators, including building an expert team around you to help navigate all of your homebuying options and delivering education and guidance to help you prepare for homeownership.
This down payment program is open to all full-time, regular Whitman employees in good standing—faculty, staff and administrators—who have worked at Whitman for at least two years and is available beginning February 2025. You do not need to be a first-time homebuyer to participate.
To apply and learn more, email the program team at whitman@landed.com.
