Check-in for your reunion at Baker Center, 364 Boyer Avenue. You can reach the Alumni Office at 509-527-5167. Please stop by to pick up your reunion registration packet:
Thursday, Noon–6 p.m., main floor of Baker Center
Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., 2nd floor of Baker Center
Elevator access to the second floor is located down the hall to the right of the stairway.
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The , located on the ground level of the Reid Campus Center at 280 Boyer Ave., is open. Whitman memorabilia is featured, from clothing to glassware to gift items. A wide selection of reading materials, including books by Whitman faculty, staff and alumni, is on display.
6–7:30 p.m.
Class of 1976 Reception, Brew Pub patio, 11 S. Palouse Street. The reception will take place out of doors (bring a light jacket). In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Baker Center, 364 Boyer Ave. Questions the day of the event? Call 509-527-5167. Attire: casual.
9–10:30 a.m.
Class of 1976 Campus Tour led by Admission tour guides. For those needing assistance, golf carts will be available on a pre-arranged basis. Meet in front of the Reid Campus Center, 280 Boyer Ave.

Class of 1976 Luncheon in the Young Ballroom, Reid Campus Center, 280 Boyer Ave. Come hear about the state of the College from Whitman's 15th President, Sarah Bolton. The program will include the announcement of the results of the Class of 1976 Reunion Gift. Attire: Business casual.
Noon–5 p.m.
Senior Thesis Art Show, Sheehan Gallery, Olin Hall. Sheehan Gallery features the thesis projects of graduating studio art majors. The show includes a variety or media, from sculpture to painting, printmaking and more.
1–2:00 p.m.
Class of 1976 In memoriam service, Kimball Theater, Hunter Conservatory, 324 Boyer Ave. Recognize, remember and celebrate classmates who have passed.
2:30-4:30 p.m.
Pickleball Open Play, Pioneer Park courts, corner of Alder and McKinley Streets. Racquets and balls are available if you don't decide to bring your own.
6:30–9 p.m.
Class of 1976 Dinner at the home of Terry and Peggy Harris Willcuts, 1324 Isaacs Ave. The bar is compliments of the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Alumni Association. Attire: Casual.
9-10:30 a.m.
Group walk around Bennington Lake. Meet in the Harper Joy Theatre parking lot to carpool to the starting point. This is a gentle walk with plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting!
9–11 a.m
Visit the Whitman Mission National Historic Site, 328 Whitman Mission Road. Ranger Kate Kunkel-Patterson ’13 will provide programming and tours of the grounds and the Great Grave. Visit the museum and view a short film about the complex relationship of the Whitmans with the Cayuse people. Shuttles will be available with advance registration.
Noon
Class of 1976 Reunion Photograph on the steps of Memorial Building, facing Penrose Library. Spouses and guests are welcome. In the event of heavy rain, the photo will be taken in Sherwood Center, George Ball Court in Sherwood Center, 47 S. Park.
12:30–2 p.m.
Class of 1976 Picnic on the side lawn of Baker Center, 364 Boyer Ave. In the event of severe weather, the picnic will be moved to the Coffeehouse in the Reid Campus Center, 280 Boyer Ave. Attire: Casual.
2:30 p.m.
The ³Ô¹ÏÍø 2026 Baccalaureate. Farewell talks by ³Ô¹ÏÍø faculty and musical performances by students. Cordiner Hall, 46 S. Park St.
6 p.m.
Class of 1976 Social Hour and Reunion Dinner, Foundry Vineyards, 1111 Abadie Street. Shuttle available from campus for those who do not wish to drive. Attire: From casual to dressy; be comfortable!
10–10:30 a.m.
Class of 1976 Robe Selection at Baker Center, 364 Boyer Ave. All members of the Class of 1976 are invited to march in the processional (graduates and non-graduates from ³Ô¹ÏÍø, only, please). Caps and gowns provided (if you have your own hood and/or gown you are welcome to bring them). Attire: Casual. Depending on the weather it can be quite warm wearing a robe, so dress appropriately. Water bottles will be provided.
10:40 a.m.
Class of 1976 Cap and Gown Photograph on the steps of Baker Center, 364 Boyer Ave. Then line up on the north and south sides of Boyer Avenue to congratulate members of the Class of 2026 as they walk by! Follow the Junior Marshal and the Class of 1976 banner to your reserved seats.
11 a.m.–1 p.m.
The ³Ô¹ÏÍø 2026 Commencement Exercises; lawn of Memorial Building. Seating for spouses and guests of alumni marching in the processional are on the right-hand section of folding chairs (when facing the stage). Alumni Office staff members will be on duty to help direct you to your seats; look for the Guests of Class of 1976 signage.
Please note: In the event of severe weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors. Consequently this means that the participation in the processional for the Class of 2026 will be canceled. Instead the group will be able to watch the ceremony in Baker Center where the ceremony will be broadcast live. Weather may also delay the start of the ceremonies by one hour.
1–2 p.m.
Class of 1976 Luncheon immediately following Commencement at Baker Center. Return your cap and gown here! To-Go boxes will be provided for those who want to begin the trip home immediately after the ceremony.
Special Needs
If you have special dietary needs we will do our best to accommodate you; the reunion registration form is where you will report that information. If you have mobility issues, please contact Nancy Mitchell at 509-527-5952. A golf cart shuttle will be available for on-campus events on a pre-arranged basis.
Golf
Call your friends and arrange a foursome to play at one of the area's fine golf courses. Golf at Veterans Memorial Golf Course, 201 E. Rees. Or try Walla Walla's newest golf course, Wine Valley Golf Club, located on Highway 12 between Walla Walla and Lowden.

Donate Materials to the Whitman Archives
The ³Ô¹ÏÍø and Northwest Archives welcomes donations of materials that relate to the history of the college and the Walla Walla region. We are especially interested in materials that shed light on student life, including diaries, correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, course-related materials, records of student organizations and activities, and memoirs. If you feel there is an emergency of a medical nature or a threat to your personal safety, you should feel empowered to initiate emergency response by calling 911. You may call 911 from any campus phone or from the "blue light" phones at outdoor locations around campus. To call 911 from the "blue light" phones simply push the large red button and wait for a dispatcher to answer.
During an emergency:
- Call 911
- Stay calm
- Use common sense
- Follow any directions you are given until assistance arrives
- If you are instructed to evacuate a building, please evacuate promptly
- If you are instructed to "shelter in place", please stay inside the building and follow the direction of college staff members
