Why you chose Whitman
When I initially toured Whitman, I was instantly captivated by the beautiful campus and the friendliness of students. The research opportunities, accessibility of professors, and ability to pursue a broad range of academic interests furthered my interest in choosing Whitman.
Favorite things to do in Walla Walla
I like going on runs by mill creek and walking downtown with my friends!
Favorite spot on campus
Reid Campus Center is my favorite place on campus, especially for a snack after a long night of studying.
What advice you’d give yourself when you were going through the college process
Get started early! Whether this involves reaching out to potential coaches or professors or submitting your application well before the deadline, being on top of things helps significantly with managing stress throughout the college admissions process.
Best class you’ve taken on campus
I really enjoyed my Hispanic Studies seminar titled Crossing Borders that I took my Junior fall. This was a great opportunity to discuss the migrant narrative and borderlands literature, and I excitedly researched similar topics with the professor of the class this past summer.
Favorite campus traditions
The finals feast is something that I always look forward to.
