Iphigenia and Other Daughters by Ellen McLaughlin

Directed by Laura Hope

Alexander Theater

A retelling of the fall of the House of Atreus, Iphigenia and Other Daughters follows the children of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon as they navigate a seemingly endless cycle of violence, revenge, and destruction. By focusing on the often-overlooked female characters of Greek mythology, this play masterfully explores concepts such as sisterhood, self-determination, and personal agency in the face of familial obligation. With its bold script and engaging storyline, Iphigenia and Other Daughters is certain to be an unforgettable addition to Harper Joy’s season.
