Originally from the PNW, Emily Kurlinski Haun holds a master’s from the University of Maryland where she studied viola with Katherine Murdock and Doris Lederer, orchestral repertoire with Dan Foster, and chamber repertoire with Rita Sloan and Kenneth Slowik. She was a Fellow at the Marrowstone Music Festival, Orvieto Musica, and the Festival de Pâques. She served as violist of the Niles String Quartet, and has played with the Eugene, Yakima, and Mid-Atlantic Symphonies, and with other ensembles throughout the PNW and Mid-Atlantic region. She has also performed with the LISTESO Music Group, and contracted for two seasons with Mid-America Productions, accompanying choral ensembles in Carnegie Hall. Beyond performing, Emily maintains a private teaching studio, coaches for the Walla Walla Youth Symphony, and works as an adjunct instructor of viola and violin at Walla Walla University and ³Ô¹ÏÍø.
