Aaron Rausch
Aaron Rausch (b. 1998) is a percussionist, teacher, and composer based in Washington. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from Central Washington University, where he studied with Mark Goodenberger.
As a performer, Aaron has most recently played with the Walla Walla Symphony and Mid-Columbia Symphony. He often collaborates with the Mid-Columbia Master Singers and Mid-Columbia Musical Theater. He has also built a private teaching studio, giving thousands of lessons in piano, drums, and general music to kids, teens, and adults over the past five years.
He teaches percussion in elementary and secondary schools around the Tri-Cities area and works with high school marching programs as an instructor, designer, and music writer. He also started and currently directs the indoor percussion program at Hanford High School in Richland.
Aaron also writes and records original music. His solo album Postcards (2020) is well received, and through his “Piano Portraits” commission project, he has created dozens of original works for clients.
When he’s not working in music, Aaron enjoys chess and golfing with his family.
