<p>In my college search, I was searching for a school that combined rigorous academics with a supportive community. I wanted a place where students pushed themselves without competing against one another—an environment where learning was collaborative rather than cutthroat. When I visited Whitman, I found that there was an openness and warmth to the campus culture that immediately stood apart from my other college visits. During my time here, I feel like Whitman has been exactly what I was looking for: a place where intellectual curiosity is fostered in a genuinely supportive environment.</p>
